In 1959, nine experienced hikers mysteriously died in the freezing Ural Mountains after fleeing their tent. Most were in their underwear, one had a fractured skull, another had her tongue and eyes missing. It’s known as “the Dyatlov Pass incident” and the cause remains a mystery to this day.
