My friend Emily had family moved into old family home last year it had been left by her great aunt Janet she had no children and the girls were her closest living relatives the weird thing was she hadn't lived in it for years and had proceeded to lease out and it was quite surprised to find she owned a property I get called 3 am on Saturday in June.
Rebecca the middle sister: I need you to come over Susan(youngest sister) said someone else was in the home.
me: stay on the phone take Susan with you go next door and get them to phone the police I will be straight over.
I arrive at hers the neighbour outside keep watching encase person tried to do a runner after 5 minutes I decided fuck waiting for police myself and the neighbour go in and start searching.
we searched top to bottom and find nothing then suddenly we hear something in the attic we had forgotten about it.
at that moment we hear police pull up outside and tell them the events of that night and we suspect someone is in the attic they call for dog handler since the person could be anywhere in the house.
two officers hop neighbours back fence cutting that off the escape route.
then dog handler arrives he lets loose the German Shepherd who searches all around stop beneath the attic hatch.
they grab a broom push open the hatch and shout loudly: come down from the attic or we'll send the dog up. No reply so they give a countdown and then sent dog up after a few barks the dog comes to hatchway nothing. So officer climbs up nothing and radio to colleagues out back they've not seen anything suspicious.
just as officers are leaving elder inspector arrives and asks for briefing suddenly we all hear the most horrific noise I've heard in my life.
I looked at the inspectors face it had turned sheer fear I asked him if ever heard anything like before yes he answered many a time at this very address now I am getting to the bottom of this after 30 years.
he then called on the radio asking for a search warrant and team to take the house apart as he wanted to have everything in order all the correct paperwork you could tell he was a well-organized man and was determined to get the answers to his Questions.
minutes later Emily arrived back from night job screaming my name fearing the worst I quickly calmed her down and told her sisters were safe and next door then I explained the situation and introduced her to the inspector who queried are you related to Janet? and then gave his condolences.
He then proceeded asked if Emily, she was aware of the history of the property he went onto the story of the first incident it turns out Emily's Grandmother and great aunt had two sisters called Peri and jasmine who mysteriously disappeared one night 30 years ago Has your Great uncle Ginger been in touch no said Emily I think there was mention of in a letter.
There was a bunch of letters and photographs in the box I got it from the solicitor and I have not had the time to deal with the contents of it Do you mind if I see the contents of the box asking the inspector?
An officer brought the box next door to the neighbours and Emily opened inside were a few old photos and two letters on one letter was written to be opened in an emergency and the other letter she had previously opened
Emily pulled the letter it and began to read its contents again
My Dearest Emily
If you are reading this then I am gone the 1st piece of business is the family home is now your property and I wish you and sisters the very best please be very careful should an emergency arise there is contact details for your great uncle ginger in the second letter he is a very difficult man to find is your great uncle but he’ll turn eventually.
The family home comes with one condition that been passed down since my father owned it the home must stay in the family it can never be sold the family lawyer Mr creeps knows all the conditions and has been fully paid for his continual services.
The 2nd piece of business is a much simpler matter please look after the family photo album.
Remember should an emergency arise to open the 2nd the letter and contact your great uncle immediately!

Emily looked down at a leather-bound photo album picked up and the inspector said there is a photo your uncle I remember your gran showing this photo
At that moment a tired Susan walked with a police dog by her side in the kitchen Emily put down the photo album on the kitchen table and picked up her little sister who was very tired by this point Susan with one round Emily's neck looked down at the kitchen and let out a scream what’s wrong I ask her? That’s him that’s the man I saw in house replied Susan.
