[MF] Drip, Drip

SHORT STORY☺

Drip, drip came the sound of blood hitting the floor as Angie pulled the razor away from her chest. Along her chest were dozens of long, deep scars. The newly added cut was at least 5 inches long, running down her collar bone to the beginning of her left breast. A sigh escaped her lips as the blood ran down her naked body. Angie always did love the chills that she received while she watched the trails of blood along her stomach grow longer. She had always been fascinated by blood, even as a little child. On the playground at the age of 7, she would set traps all around and wait for the other children to fall and scrape their knees. Whenever her trap was successful, she’d rush to the other’s side to watch the blood run out of their skin. Now Angie is 19 and lives by herself while attending a nearby community college. Her grades were always the top of her class, as she rarely does anything outside of school. Usually after her final class of the day is dismissed, she gets in her car, drives to her one person dorm room and locks herself into school work, breaking every so often to write in her journal or be entertained by her own blood. As Angie lay naked on her bed with the blood still flowing down her body slowly, she reaches over to her glass of iced water and pulls out an ice cube. She places the ice cube along the start of her new cut and slides it down her chest. Her eyes close from the sting as she lets the ice cube melt on herself. The water mixes with the blood and creates a new speed. Another sigh comes from her lips as she twirls her strawberry blonde hair in her blood soaked finger. It wasn’t long for Angie to start to feel the lightheadedness. She reached for a towel she kept beside her bed and wiped the blood off of her. After the blood was mostly cleaned up, she reached for the Neosporin she always kept beside her bed and rubbed it along her newly added scar. Then she fell into a deep sleep. The next day as she was walking in the halls to her first class, she accidentally bumped into someone who was running to their's, causing her to fall to the floor. Her head hit the floor so hard that she felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck. She opened her eyes, but everything went blurry, and then blackness. “Oh my God! Are you okay? Hello? Hello?!” a voice came through to Angie. She felt her feeling come back to her and tried to open her eyes. She could see many people standing around her, but the one over her head was a man. Her eyesight was still blurry so she tried blinking a few times. The sight became clearer and she could see people breathing a sigh of relief and some walking off. “Oh thank goodness you’re all right. You hit your head pretty hard… I’m really sorry for knocking you down, I was late to my class and I guess I wasn’t watching where I was going. I hope your head feels all right. Are you okay? Do you need any help? Gosh, I’m so sorry…” the man just couldn’t stop apologizing. Angie sat up slowly and took in his features. His hair was chin length and was black and his eyes were a deep green. It looked as if he hadn’t shaved in a while, but the scruffy look wasn’t so bad. “I-I’ll be okay.” Angie said as she rubbed the back of her head. “Gosh I’m sorry… Is there anything I can do?” His eyes had deep sorrow and worry. “Can you just help me stand up?” Angie asked while looking around. He immediately stood up and helped her up. She was a little wobbly, but she soon got her balance. “My name is Daniel Franklin,” he said while picking up her books which were scattered on the floor. “Angie Jordan,” she said, still rubbing her head. “You don’t have to pick up my books, you know…” “No, I do have to. It’s the least I can do for knocking you on your back. Are you sure you’re okay? You need me to walk you to class or anything?” “N-No… I can make it all right. Didn’t you say you had a class you were already late for?” “Ah… Well I was already twenty minutes late, and I’ve spent another ten trying to help you. So it wouldn’t be much of a thrill going to class over thirty minutes late, now would it? Plus, I never turn down to help a beautiful lady.” Angie couldn’t believe her ears at this point. Did someone just call her beautiful? Why? No guy has ever complimented her. “Y-You’re just being nice…” “My dear, it’s more than that. How about I walk you to your class?” “Well… That would be nice, thank you.” “Or… We could just forget our classes and let me have a day for making it up to you. Usually I don’t actually knock a girl off of her feet in the way I did to you. It’s more of a figure of speech,” Daniel said as he looked through your different books. Angie laughed at this; sense of humor is a nice check on the list. “But you see, I hate getting behind on homework. I’m kind of a perfectionist about that stuff, so… I don’t think it would be a good idea for me to skip class. But thank you for the offer,” Angie declined, but deep down she wanted fully to accept. “You’re majoring in some sort of science?” Daniel asked, quickly changing the subject as he began to walk in the opposite direction of Angie’s classes. Angie was hesitant on following, but something gave in and she just went for it. “Um… Yeah. I’m majoring in Hematology-“ “Isn’t that blood?” Daniel quickly asked. “Yeah… It’s the study of blood and the blood-producing organs.” Angie explained. Daniel’s face turned into a confused expression. “You like blood or something?” he asked while looking into her eyes. His wooing techniques were obvious. “Blood fascinates me,” she said quickly looking away. Daniel nodded and before Angie knew it, they were walking down the steps of her college. “Well, Angie, do you like coffee?” “I don’t mind a cup or two every now and then,” she replied. “Good! I’ll treat you to a cup of coffee at my dorm and we can talk. Maybe you want some ice for you head?” Daniel seemed so sweet in his words and actions. How could Angie say no? It didn’t take 2 minutes for Angie to be in his car and on the way to his dorm. As soon as they got there and were settled with a nice cup of French Vanilla coffee, great conversation arose, and the time passed. This day would be the first day that Angie missed of school, and she would never forget it.Weeks went by and by and each day went better and better for Angie. She and Daniel were great friends now and spent a lot of time together. Daniel was really the first best friend that Angie had ever had, and it felt great to be able to open up to someone. And with Daniel around, Angie had less and less time to add new scars to her chest. But Angie never has told Daniel of her cutting habits, for she does not want to lose a friend so dearly close this soon. But what Daniel doesn’t know won’t hurt him, right? One night Angie was over at Daniel’s laying on his couch. She was drifting in and out of sleep and wasn’t all in her right mind. Daniel was in the kitchen counting money for some odd reason that Angie didn’t know about. But Angie doesn’t like being nosey, so she just learns to keep her thoughts to herself. Out of no where there is a knock on the door that startles Angie and she shoots up and stares at the door. Daniel gets up and walks over to the door and opens it. Another man walks in with red hair down to his shoulders and bright green eyes. Daniel quickly closes the door after him. Angie notices a sense of nervousness in Daniel and it makes her immediately feel uncomfortable. “Angie, this is Brad, a friend of mine. Brad, this is Angie,” Daniel says as Brad extends a hand towards Angie. Angie shakes it but quickly pulls her hand back. “So you’re the Angie I’ve heard about. Not bad, Danny. You always have a good choice in women,” Brad says as he walks over to the kitchen and picks up the money. “All of the green counted up?” “Yes, all of the money is there,” Daniel said quickly. Angie was very confused by now. She stood up and pulled Daniel aside. “Daniel, what the hell is going on?” she asked quickly in a whisper. Brad looked over at the two but then sat down to recount the money. Daniel took a deep breath and took Angie over to the couch to sit her down. “Don’t worry,” he said. By now Angie wanted nothing more than to leave. “Daniel, I think I should be leaving now,” Angie said as she began towards the door. Daniel ran towards her and grabbed her by the arms to stop her. “Ow! Daniel! What are you doing? Let me go!!” At this point Brad stood up and put the money in his pocket. He walked over to her who was still being held by Daniel. Brad smiled and locked the door. Angie wanted to scream, but her voice was lost. “You see, Angie. Daniel and I, we work together. We have a partnership in which we… How would you say it? We keep our pleasure alive,” Brad said as he brushed Angie’s cheek with his hand. “We do a trade every so often. I give him his drugs, and he gives me… my women.” “I’m sorry, Angie, I really am…” And that was the last thing Angie heard that night as she was thrown against the wall given a quick tranquilizer that would knock her out for two days. “Wake up, sleepy head…” A voice came through the darkness to Angie. Nothing could be seen, but Angie was for sure she was awake. She could have sworn her eyes were open, but all she could see was darkness. She felt hands at the back of her head and a cloth fall down to her neck. Blinding lights reached her eyes as she was startled by them. “Hope you had a nice rest,” said the same voice. Angie’s vision cleared and she saw in front of her, Brad. Tears started to fall down her cheeks. “Aw, crying are we? You’re not the first, so I no longer have sympathy.” This only made Angie cry harder. “If you look down, you’ll see that you are naked. For the past two days I’ve been having my way with you. It’s a continuous cycle, so I’m used to saying things like this. After my two days of pleasure, I usually let my girl wake up to realize that they are about to die…” Angie cried out, but her cry was muffled from the rag in her mouth. “You should never be so easily trusting, Angie. It always bites you in the ass later. But I hear you like blood, eh? So you get a special treat. I do hope you understand me not being able to just let you out of here and roam around the cities telling your story of tragedy.” “I noticed the scars on your chest. I know razor cuts when I see them. You cut yourself, right? Why? You like blood that much? Or did you want to die? It doesn’t matter which question is the correct one. At least you will die with your favorite thing by your side: blood.” At this, Brad picked up the naked Angie and carried her into a room. When Brad turned on the light, Angie instantly saw the freezer on the other side of the room. Angie let out a muffled scream and tried to squirm around to get loose, but it wouldn’t work. Brad laid her down on top of the closed freezer and tied up her arms and legs. Then he reached over and picked up a very large butcher’s knife. Angie’s eyes grew wide. The sharp pain entered her skin, deeper than ever before. The blood flowed out at amazing speed. Soon Angie went numb and couldn’t feel a thing. What was the use of fighting now? Her body had given up; she could no longer feel the cuts. Soon her body was almost completely covered in blood. Brad put down the knife and rolled Angie off of the freezer. Angie’s body slammed against the floor, her jaw hitting first. But Angie couldn’t feel the pain for the numbness was so strong. But she could still hear the crackles of her jaw breaking and the splitting of her brow bone. But, luckily, she couldn’t feel a thing. Brad opened up the freezer and bent down to pick Angie up by the arms. He dragged her in the freezer and covered her body with ice. Brad quickly closed the freezer and ran out of the room. Angie was left freezing, naked and numb. It wasn’t long before Angie noticed that Brad forgot to put her left leg all the way inside of the freezer. Some of her leg was still hanging out of it. But by now, she couldn’t move. The ice was too cold and too heavy. For the last minutes of Angie’s life, she laid there, in the freezer feeling the ice take hold of her. She closed her eyes and listened to her body freezing. Then, very dimly, Angie could hear something outside of the freezer. I didn’t take long to figure out it was the dripping of her blood on the floor. Drip, drip…
